You may import household goods and personal effects duty free provided they have been owned and used before importation. Documentation must be completed and submitted when requested, before leaving the UK. However, you must be in the UAE to complete all customs clearance procedures. All books, CDs, videos, DVDs and magazines should be packed into separate cartons and marked clearly as they may to subject to physical inspection on arrival.

Taking pets to the UAE can be challenging so careful research and planning is recommended well in advance. However, there are no quarantine requirements for dogs and cats arriving from the UK provided all conditions are met.
