MOVING TO NEW ZEALAND

Household and personal effects can be imported without paying duty provided you have owned them for at least one year before arrival in New Zealand. We at Arrowpak International will provide you with the correct documentation, which you will need to complete before departure.

Cats and dogs may be imported to Australia but there are strict conditions designed to manage biosecurity risks, so please check with our reliable East Anglia team of removers overseas before making arrangements.

Electrical current is 230 volts, 50Hz. Three-pin flat blade plugs are used but are different from those in most other countries, so adapters or replacement plugs are required.

All cars and motorcycles must be granted import approval, and are subject to import duty. Changes to the vehicle may be required to make the vehicle compliant with New Zealand standards. Holders of a full UK driving licence may legally drive in New Zealand for up to 12 months. After 12 months you will need to convert to a New Zealand licence.
