The Republic of South Africa, surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic and

UK citizens moving to South Africa may import household effects and personal
items duty free. South African citizens moving back to the Republic may also
import items duty free provided they have been out of the country for at least

There is currently no quarantine for cats and dogs entering South Africa from
the UK as long as all the paperwork is completed correctly - if not, then
animals are subject to 60 days’ quarantine. All cats and dogs must be

A full British photocard driving licence is valid in South Africa. You must carry
